How do I NatureMap?

There are two ways that you can learn to NatureMap:

(1) Attend a NatureMapping training at Beaver Creek Reserve or with one of the NatureMapping trainers in your part of the state. Call Jeanette at 715-877-2212 to find a trainer in your area.

(2) Watch our online training videos.

To learn how become a NatureMapping Trainer, call Jeanette at 715-877-2212.

When you complete NatureMapping training and register as a Wisconsin NatureMapper you will be added to the Wisconsin NatureMapping Google Group . The Google Group serves the same function as a listserv and is used to communicate with WI NatureMappers about updates to the website, to distribute monthly newsletters, and to inform you of upcoming events, projects, and volunteer opportunities. As a member of the group, you may post questions or post responses to other members questions. The WI NatureMapping Google Group is restricted to registered NatureMappers and is not open to the general public.

An additional benefit to registration is that registered NatureMappers can choose to view only critter observations they have entered or all of the observations entered by everyone in the state. Unregistered NatureMappers can only view data that everyone has entered and cannot separate out their observations from everyone elses observations.
