Wisconsin NatureMapping Asian Beetle Study
Developed by: Erik Kampa, Altoona High School & Cheryl Schnell, Cumberland Middle School

The Wisconsin Nature Mapping Asian Lady Beetle project is designed to document distribution and relative abundance of Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles in Wisconsin. Multicolored Asian Lady Beetles have become a nuisance species in many areas of the country, including Wisconsin. This project is designed to be used by teachers and students. It provides an opportunity to both conduct data collection and data analysis. Since Asian Lady Beetles occur in urban, suburban and rural areas, they provide a good research subject in all school environments. Additionally, this project may provide a data set for analysis by pest control professionals.
